These terms govern your use of CargoMo. By creating an account or booking a shipment, you agree to them. Please read them carefully.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement to use CargoMo.
2. What CargoMo is
CargoMo is a marketplace that connects senders with independent balikbayan box forwarders. CargoMo is not a freight forwarder or shipping carrier, does not take custody of any box, and is not responsible for the physical handling, shipping, or delivery of your shipment. Those services are provided by the independent forwarder you book.
3. Your account
You sign in with Google or Apple. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for the activity that happens under it, and you agree to provide accurate information.
4. Bookings and pickups
When you book, the forwarder reviews your request and, if accepted, schedules a pickup date. You are responsible for having your box ready and for the accuracy of the recipient and address details you provide.
5. Payments and fees
- Each forwarder sets its own rate for each box size (Small, Regular, Jumbo).
- Card payments are processed by Stripe. A flat platform fee is added at checkout, and Stripe's processing fee is passed through to you. Both are disclosed before you pay.
- Cash-on-pickup bookings carry no platform fee; you pay the forwarder directly.
6. Refunds
Where a card booking is refunded, you receive a full refund minus Stripe's non-recoverable processing fee. This is disclosed at checkout.
7. Forwarder responsibilities
Forwarders must complete identity verification, keep their rates and service areas accurate, ship boxes within a reasonable time, and keep shipment milestones up to date. Forwarders are independent businesses and are solely responsible for the services they provide.
8. Prohibited and restricted items
You are responsible for the contents of your box and for complying with all U.S. export and Philippine import and customs rules. You may not ship illegal, hazardous, or prohibited items. Forwarders may refuse any box that violates these rules or applicable law.
9. Tracking
Shipment tracking is milestone-based and updated at the batch level by your forwarder. Dates and timelines are estimates, not guarantees.
10. Ending your account
You may delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete account, subject to having no boxes in transit (and, for forwarders, no active batches). We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraud, or misuse the service.
11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
CargoMo is provided "as is." We do not guarantee delivery times or the performance of any independent forwarder. To the fullest extent permitted by law, CargoMo is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the platform fees you paid for the booking at issue.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
